Itasca State Park

Minnesota’s oldest State Park was inhabited way before the headwaters of the Mississippi was discovered. This historic park is jam-packed with trails, campsites and more. Visitors from all over the world stop in to see the Headwaters of the Mississippi and stick around for a myriad of other sites around the 32,000 acre park. Take a naturalist-lead hike or meander among the towering red and white pines on your own trail. Itasca is a park that does not disappoint.
